| | So, I've left Penang, came back again, and left and came back home for holidays again. I've visited at least 16 new cities/towns in the past 10 months and have seen and observed different kinds of people around the globe. Been scammed in Milan, failed attempts by a few in parts of Italy and Paris yet I am still ready to rock and roll over the idea of visiting new parts of Europe. What have I learned? The seemingly interesting Western grounds that alot of Asians worship over and dream to step on and associate with aren't that great afterall. Not everyone in the Europe are as nice as they come in tele and people don't often say pretty please with a cherry on top. Screw that shit. People push you and discriminate Asians, I am not generally assuming all, but some of them do. Thankfully, I met quite a number of nice people when I was around (I am still going to be around), but no, not everything is as great as you seen in tele. When you are in clubs, guys attempt to grab whatever within their reach, and, of course, seek for sex and pleasure mainly. I am not saying Asian countries are better cause people kill for money, acid splashers roams around freely, you don't feel safe walking around. I guess shits happen everywhere but I generally feel safer in the UK at least cause I don't really have to look after my handbag everywhere I go maybe? There are snatch thieves but most of them attempt to grab some valuables and leave you alone whereas you have to lock your car doors once you get into the car, fearing that someone will pounce on you and drag you into your own car, rape you, and then maybe murder you and take all your money, so you're left with nothing and not even with your own life. Though I guess you can't compare things in that sense, whatever happens in my country doesn't generalize the whole impression of Asia. I love both parts of the world I have to say but I guess my own country can do better than its current state? It is a nice place to live in but if more people think out of the box, it would help overall? Simple things like I encountered today, my grandmother paid to use the toilet at New World Park, my aunt asked the cleaning lady for permission just to enter the toilet to have a look at my grandmother to ensure that she's alright, instead, the cleaning lady told her off and started scolding her in her loud ear-banging voice? My aunt was just merely asking, and her intention wasn't to enter and use the toilet for free but just to check on my grandmother, why do you have to shout at my aunt? She can decline her request politely and maybe offer to go in to check on my grandma instead? For fuck sake, its not a million dollar request, so why did she get all worked up and bitchy about it? Also, another time ( a few times actually), I went to mamaks with some white friends and requested for extra 'curry' for my roti canai, I get a big plate of curry but when I go to the mamaks with my local friends and ask for extra curry, I USUALLY get a small plate of curry and sometimes I get charged for my request. SO WHY is there a discrepancy in my own country! Why do some people have to treat 'foreigners' better than the locals and look up to them? Mind you, I went to the same mamak. I don't feel safe in my own birthtown, I don't feel just in my own birthtown, what should I do? Everytime I sound, some friends may think, 'OHH She just came back from the UK, she's different la, people high class already ma, we beh suit her!' If we actually do something about our attitude, be more humble, helpful, and more polite may change others view towards our country differently? I want to be like the Singaporeans! Though the kiasu attitude comes along with their nationality, it made them better and they are always defending their country. Why oh why can't we be like them? Because there are real flaws, and people acknowledge these flaws but they REFUSE to fix it but constantly whine and complain about the flaws. Why not make a change? Don't blame the authority only though I am not saying that the authority is always right, look into the mirror, find the flaws and fix it. Going abroad to study doesn't change me into a snobbish person, it changes my perspectives towards issues and subjects in my own country, raising frequents of why are people here like that? Why can't they do that? Why can't they be like that? Its not wanting things my way, but to my personal opinion, (I may be wrong), when they do things in certain ways, the consequences would be better and maybe complaints would lessen? If drivers overtake cars and dash past traffic lights turning red from amber unnecessarily, they shouldn't complain when they get ticket for their offences and then blame the cops for being so efficient at giving out tickets rather than to catch other serious offenders like rapists, etc? What makes you different from them? You are putting other lives at risk also, maybe if there's an unfortunate accident, a father with 2 kids and a wife at home may be killed in the crash cause of your driving. I admit I used to do that, I was no different but I guess I regret my deeds and I learn my lesson? I posted that question because an impatient MyVii driver, overtook me on a double-lined lane and dashed past the traffic light this early afternoon. So why complain when you do this kind of shit? My friends tell me thats why Malaysia Boleh! Then why Malaysia cannot more Boleh than this shameless attitude? I am very shameless of my attitude back then thats why I am willing to change. But how do you help people around think better when they think its alright to blame others when they deny their own flaws? My puppy just had her haircut! Cutest thing ever! Fuck super angry when I drove to town earlier this afternoon! Cibai drivers drive slower on the fast lanes compared to the cars on the slow lane, and they do not stop OR slow down for even old people to cross the road instead, they accelerate and probably attempted to bang my grandma down! Fuck this shit man! Damn angry! Hope you all grow old faster and maybe when you cross the road one day, some fucking reckless driver bang you down! GONE! k ttyl xx |
